Should there be no surf or you wish to explore more of Morocco, there are many nice places to discover! We look forward to organising an unforgettable trip for you!
Activities in Agadir
Not far from our surf camp is a unique place, so beautiful, it’s known as paradise. Amidst the mountains and surrounded by palm trees, Paradise Valley was discovered over 15 years ago by hippies. Nowadays it’s well known as a fun and relaxing place to swim, climb the cliffs and sun bathe.
The Souk el Hadad is renowned as one of the largest and nicest bazars in Africa, giving you a taste of Morocco’s trading culture. Here you can find everything, from leather, jewellery and colourful scarves to an amazing range of fresh vegetables, fruits, spices and herbs. We also recommend visiting: the Marina and the never-ending seaside promenade with many restaurants and cafes.
When visiting Morocco, you can’t help but try our famous camel riding. The local camel ranch can take you on the nicest paths for camel riding, guiding you through a small regional Sahara-style desert or along the beautiful surfing beaches.
Essaouira - Morocco’s city of art is another must visit on your surf holiday. Also known as the white-blue city, situated about about three hours drive from our surf camp. The old Medina with its mystic and winding alleyways has bedazzled many visitors. Essaouira is celebrated for its yearly Gnawa Festival, fresh fish from the harbour and its perfect conditions for kite surfing.
Yoga is the perfect way to stretch and de-stress your body before or after a long day of surfing. Here at West Surf Morocco we teach Vinyasa Yoga. Vinyasa means ‘flow’, and the focus is on connecting movement to your breath. All levels are catered for, whether it’s your very first yoga class, or you’re looking for a challenge. Our yoga classes are designed carefully to be balanced and enjoyable in clear, easy-to-flow English.
Become acquainted with magical Moroccan cuisine. Every Wednesday, our cooking class starts at the traditional souk market in Aourir, a spectacle that can only be found in Morocco. Having bought all our ingredients there together, we will show you how to use them! Step by step you will learn how to correctly prepare the traditional delight: tagine. Of course we'll share the dish together afterwards, and give you a copy of the recipe so you can try it again at home.
